Caught Special - 73

Two weeks ago, there was this heavy rain in Bangalore that was announced to be even reaching a new record rainfall for the month of May in 60 years (see report); on that Saturday evening about 6 pm, the rains lashed around our apartment also.

This Cormorant bird that was probably on its way back home at the central island of Madiwala lake located closely behind our apartments, seemed to have taken a temporary stopover on one of our sliver oak trees to safeguard itself from the heavy winds

I had earlier grabbed a picture of a Cormorant bird on the Meenachil river at Kumarakom, see the 15th picture in Caught Special 62 here.

Though the view of this bird on that windy Saturday evening was not very direct from our balcony, and with the trouble of heavy windy splash of rainwaters, I somehow managed to use an umbrella over me and take a few pictures of this little bird that was really in a state of difficulty in that tough weather condition.

What: Cormorant bird, in a stormy weather
Where: Home
When: 27th May 2017
How: Canon EOS 700D, 55-250mm lens
